LIONS CLUB OF POONA SARASBAUG CONDUCTED THEIR 47TH INSTALLATION CEREMONY WITH GREAT FANFARE IN THE

BEAUTIFUL 'CITY OF LAKES' - UDAIPUR, AT RAMEE ROYAL RESORT. CONVENOR FOR THE INSTALLATION CEREMONY LN. PRASHANT KOTHADIYA & CO-CONVENORS LN. ASHA OSWAL AND LN. VINOD PARMAR WELCOMED THE DIGNITARIES OF LIONS INTERNATIONAL, LIONS CLUBS OF UDAIPUR AND MEMBERS OF LIONS CLUB OF POONA SARASBAUG.

THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW P.S.T TEAM & BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE L.Y 2022-23 WAS DONE AT THE HANDS OF THE INSTALLAING OFFICER PMCC MJF LN. FATECHAND RANKA IN A VERY UNIQUE WAY, IN THE PRESENCE OF LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR - LN. DR. V.K. LADIA , M.C.C LN. SANJAY BHANDARI (M.D 3233 E-2) , PDG LN. DR. ALOK VYAS & PDG LN. KUMMAWAT.

ALTHOUGH THE 47TH INSTALLATION CEREMONY OF THE LIONS CLUB OF POONA SARASBAUG WAS ENGULFED WITH FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT BUT WE ALSO DID GET DOWN TO SOME SERIOUSBUSINESS. FOR OVER A 100 YEARS THE LIVES OF EVERY LIONS MEMBER HAS BEEN TO ENHANCE AND ENRICH THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN LESS FORTUNATE. THE REASON WE ARE KNOWN AS ONE OF THE LARGEST SOCIAL-ENRICHMENT COMMUNITIES IN THE WORLD IS BECAUSE WE TRULY PUT SERVICE BEFORE SELF. ON THE 5TH & 6TH OF JULY'22 , THE LIONS CLUB OF POONA SARASBAUG AND THE LIONS CLUB LAKE CITY (UDAIPUR) JOINTLY CONDUCTED AN ACTIVITY FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF CLOTHES TO OVER 200 TRIBAL FAMILIES AND ALSO A 40 TREE PLANTATION DRIVE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UDAIPUR CAMPUS.

Dear Members,

We have donated School Benches to various schools across Pune and Pune District

  • 5 Teacher Tables to Kalashram, Talegaon.

  • 25 Tables to Bhor Education Society (For this we thank Lion Nitin Thakkar for sponsoring this activity.)

  • 12 Tables to Rasta Peth Education Society, Somwar Peth, Pune. 

  • 5 Teachers tables to Caring Hands NGO​

Dear Lion Friends

We conducted a "FOOD DISTRIBUTION ACTIVITY" 

On Tuesday,16th August 2022.* 

*By Giving Snacks, Food Packets to the Students at Kalashram Project, Ambi Gaon, Mangrul road,Talegaon MIDC, Ta.Haveli, Dist.Pune.

Today On  Monday 22nd August 2022 Time 1.30PM , We Have Distribute

1000 Note-Books worth USD 600$  to Rasta Peth Education Society's Three Schools Students.*

Also, 12 Tables for Teacher's were donated worth USD 1200$.

  1. Abasaheb Atre School Marathi Medium Day High school.

  2. Abasaheb Atre - Night School.

  3. Abasaheb Atre English Medium School.

We would like to thank Lion Shri Rajkumar Ji Chordia For Sponsoring The Book Donation Drive.

Every year on the ocassion of Ganesh Visarjan, Lions Club Of Poona Sarasbaug conducts it's Permanent Activity of Distribution of Fresh Food Packets to The Police, Home Guards, Police Mitra & Rangoli Designers On Duty. This is our 16th Year running.

On the 11th of September 2022, The International Association of Lions Clubs Dist.3234 D2, organised, " Teachers Day - Awards Felicitation", in Pune. 

Sau. Pratibha Sunil Pawar nominated from Lions Club Of Poona Sarasbaug was Felicitated with a 'Honour Certificate', for her distinguished contributions to Society as a "Teacher", at the hands of renowned Economist Dr. Ashutosh Raravikar.

We the Members of Lions Club Of Poona Sarasbaug witnessed a Special Welcome by the Management & Students of A.B Sawant School, Nayashi, Chiplun. With the generous help of our Club Member, Ln. Dada Gujar, we constructed and entire School Floor with Shed, for the students. This school is located 34 kms from Chiplun in the interior remote village of Nayashi.

It overwhelms us to see that our work touches the lives of so many. Proud to be a Lion. #WeServe
